Outloud Co
Vintage · Upcycled · Onsold

Worn once.
Worn again.
Worn out loud.

Vintage clothing, shoes and accessories rescued, mended where they need it, and put back into real wardrobes — for women of every age and every size.

What we do

Two halves of the same idea

Good clothes outlive the person who bought them. Outloud Co is about keeping them moving — and about the fun of actually trying things on with other people, which is the bit online shopping took away.

Vintage, upcycled, onsold

Dresses, coats, knitwear, shoes, bags, scarves, jewellery. Sourced one piece at a time, cleaned, repaired where repair is what it needs, and sometimes reworked into something that suits being worn now.

Every piece is photographed and listed individually, with its real measurements — because vintage sizing is a work of fiction and a label that says 12 means nothing. One of each. When it's gone, it's gone.

Try-on events

We bring the rack to a venue, put the mirrors up, and people come and try on the things they'd never normally pick up. No pressure to buy anything.

It turns out that's the whole point. Someone hands you a coat you'd have walked straight past, you put it on, and the room tells you the truth. People leave having met each other.

Events

Bring a friend. Try the thing you'd never pick.

An Outloud event is a rack, a few mirrors, a venue with decent light and usually something to drink. You turn up, you play, you talk to strangers about a jacket.

1

We set up at a venue

A bar, a gallery, a hall, a shop after hours, someone's studio. If you run a venue and this sounds like your sort of evening, we'd like to hear from you.

2

You try on what you wouldn't

The rack is organised to be rummaged, not browsed. The rule of the room is that someone else picks your first piece.

3

Take it home or don't

Buying is optional and always has been. Plenty of people come for the evening and leave with a photograph and two new phone numbers.

Hear about the next one

Tell us where you are and we'll let you know when there's an event near you — or if you've got a venue, say so and we'll talk.

We'll only use this to tell you about events. No list-selling, no weekly newsletter.

Got a wardrobe that deserves better than landfill?

If you're clearing out something good — a parent's wardrobe, a house move, a shop closing, forty years of carefully kept coats — we'd rather it came here than went to the tip. Tell us roughly what you've got and we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right home for it.
